One night I sat right in my chair
with paper right before.
I ran my fingers through my hair
and tried to write of yore.
Those tales of knights upon their steeds
and dragons with their gold.
Righting wrongs, and do good deeds,
save princesses of old.
I tried to write of vikings past
with shields upon their boat.
The sails are full upon the mast
while on the sea they float.
I tried to write of times gone by.
Those tales that made me cry.
